Posts, comments, discussions, or any other form of user-submitted content may be subject to removal if they violate our guidelines. You can find examples of content that could be removed below: Posts, comments, or reviews may also be flagged or hidden temporarily as part of our moderation process to maintain a safe and meaningful community environment.

Spam:

Content submitted with the primary purpose of promotion, manipulation, or disruption will be removed. This includes, but isn’t limited to:

  • Comments used to advertise unrelated services or products

  • Vote manipulation, including coordinated voting or engagement schemes

  • Repeated submissions of the same or substantially similar products

  • Launches designed solely to drive traffic without meaningful content

  • Abuse of reporting tools to target other users or products

  • Reviews flagged for containing spam links or promotional content not aligned with the platform's goals

We reserve the right to remove any content that we believe undermines the integrity of our platform, as outlined in our Terms of Service. Repeated or severe violations may lead to account suspension.

Non-English:

Product Hunt is a global community, and we value the perspectives people bring from around the world. That said, to keep things consistent and accessible for our users, we ask that all submissions be in English.

Off-topic:

Product Hunt is designed to surface the latest mobile apps, websites, hardware projects, and tech creations. Products outside of these areas of interest may be removed. Examples include, but are not limited to:

  • Deal sites

  • Courses

  • Events/limited-time programs

  • Blog posts/articles

  • Lists/directories

  • Services

  • Guides

Offensive:

Content containing threatening/violent/abusive language or directly/indirectly attacking individuals/groups will be removed.

If your content was removed, please review our Commenting Guidelines, Community Guidelines, Forum Guidelines, and Terms of Service before submitting again. To avoid such issues, ensure your contributions are valuable, authentic, and aligned with community expectations. Review guidelines carefully before posting, and focus on fostering organic engagement rather than relying on artificial activity.

We do our best to outline what we look for in those resources, so we encourage you to review them before reaching out to the team. Moderation decisions can also be influenced by the platform's point system, where fluctuations may occur due to verifications of engagement authenticity. Understanding these processes can clarify why certain actions were taken. If something was removed, it’s likely because it didn’t align with those expectations.

Reposting the same content without meaningful changes may result in further action, including account suspension.

These guidelines reflect ongoing feedback from the Product Hunt community.
