In an effort to keep Product Hunt as a valuable resource for discovering top products, posts may be removed if they fall under one or more of the following criteria:

  • Not a product:

    • This includes services, agencies, or other businesses that do not offer a tangible or digital product.

  • NSFW, inappropriate, or off-topic:

    • Content that is not aligned with the community’s focus on tech, design, and innovation may be removed.

  • Incomplete launch:

    • Posts must include essential details like a logo, tagline, and product images to provide a clear and engaging introduction.

  • Suspicious or incomplete profiles:

    • Posts from users with incomplete profiles, missing personal details, or using company-branded accounts instead of individual profiles may be removed for authenticity reasons.

  • Duplicate product:

    • If a product is a direct copy of an existing one or has been launched multiple times without significant updates, it may be removed.

    • This includes attempts to manipulate rankings, incentivize upvotes, or any other behavior that goes against our policies.

Product removals are determined by a combination of automated systems and manual review by our team. If your post was removed and you believe it was a mistake, feel free to reach out to hello@producthunt.com for clarification.
