Why wasn't my post featured?

At Product Hunt, the homepage is curated by our team to showcase the most exciting, innovative, and relevant products each day. Every submission is an opportunity to get noticed, but not everything is guaranteed to make it to the homepage.

Below is a more in-depth look at how we decide what gets featured:

Community Engagement & Upvotes

  • The first step is the community. Product Hunt is built around user interactions. A product needs to resonate with our audience – whether that’s through a clear problem-solution, strong community support, or simply sparking interest. Genuinely engaging with the community through thoughtful comments, feedback, and discussions will help boost a product’s visibility.

Aligning with Our Guidelines

Our Decision-Making Process

  • Even with community upvotes and adherence to guidelines, we can’t guarantee that a product will be featured. Curating the homepage to ensure diversity and relevance requires a balancing act. It’s not just about the most upvoted products – it’s about ensuring we highlight a range of exciting new launches that align with our community’s interests.

Re-Reviewing Submissions

  • If your submission wasn’t featured but you think it deserves another look, we encourage you to engage with the community and use that feedback to improve your future submissions. You can always resubmit a product after 6 months, and you update or make changes based on feedback, but the decision on whether a product is featured will remain at our discretion.

Stay Engaged and Join Our Forums

  • Want to engage even more with the Product Hunt community? Check out our forums! Each product on Product Hunt now has its own dedicated forum – this is the place to continue discussions, request or share feedback, and interact with other Makers and enthusiasts. Whether or not your product is featured on the homepage, the forums provide a space post-launch for deeper engagement and to build connections with a broader audience.
